Skip The New Years' Hangover

Skip the New Years' hangover, and drink water while you are indulging yourself. This advice comes from my sister actually, and I have found that it works.
There is just nothing worse than the feeling of a hangover the next day after an evening of indulging yourself. My worst recollection of a terrible hangover was the morning after finally getting out one evening for the first time in ages after the birth of my daughter so many years ago. Feeding a baby babyfood at this time has to be the hardest thing to do, when your head is pounding, and stomach is turning. Here's what I should have done.
Start alternating your alcoholic drinks at least a few hours or more before you know you are going home. Instead of an alcoholic drink, ask for a glass of water. Alternate full drinks with glasses of water or big sips of water at least.
They say it's the alcohol that dehydrates you causing blood vessels to constrict, and results in the pounding headache. At least this is what I have read in a few places.
Before you climb into bed, take an aspirin.
Needless to say, I don't enjoy a hangover and don't drink much at all anymore anyway. But I do remember that this method back then certainly helped tremendously, and I didn't experience the pounding headache.
