Home Remedies for Psoriasis...There is Hope for this Troublsome Skin Diease

Home remedies for psoriasis will help you! Psoriasis is painful and embarrassing, but thankfully there is HELP in sight.

What is Psoriasis? Psoriasis is a condition in which the skin cells multiply much too fast. Normally, it takes around 30 days for new skin cells to reach the surface, however, in psoriasis sufferers, it's only about 3 days. This results in raised, itchy, scaly areas of skin, called plaques.

Most psoriasis sufferers go through periods of flare-ups and remission. Flare-ups occur more frequently in the winter, however, they can occur at any time. For some people, psoriasis is a debilitating disease, however, for others, it is only a mild nuisance.

Irregardless of the severity of your condition, these home remedies for psoriasis will help you.

  • Get out in the sun and have some fun. Yes, that is correct. Exposing your scaly, patchy skin to intense sunlight is actually beneficial. In fact, 95% of psoriasis sufferers improve after sunlight exposure. 4 Vitamin D by itself has also been shown to be very effective in the treatment of psoriasis.12 If you can't get out in the sun, take Vitamin D3 1000 IU.
  • Homeopathy Works! Try the following 100% homeopathic remedy, designed especially for skin issues. Click Here for more information on Skin Dr. for Psoriasis, Eczema, Cradle Cap, Dandruff, Herpes and Allergic Rashes
  • If you are looking for home remedies for scalp psoriasis, the cure may be no further than your kitchen. Heat olive oil and massage onto the scalp. Be sure to leave this on for at least 30 minutes; overnight is better (use a shower cap to protect your pillow) and shampoo the next morning.4
  • Try taking a warm bath or swimming in a heated pool...although beware, the hot water may actually worsen the itching.4
  • Oddly enough, the opposite remedy is also helpful....a cold bath. This is even more effective if you add a cup of apple cider vinegar to the bath water.4
  • Salicylic Acid is an old home remedy for psoriasis. The easiest way is to use an already prepared formula. The active ingredient, Salicylic Acid, is combined with Allantion, Aloe Vera Gel, Carrot Oil, Echinacea Extract and Jojoba Oil. PSORIASIS MEDICATED SCALP & BODY WASH-8 fl. oz.
  • Lose weight and avoid stress. Yes, these two things are much easier said than done, however, both being overweight and being stressed are connected with psoriasis.4
  • There are so many fish oil health benefits, not the least of which is that taking daily doses of fish oil or cod liver oil can lesson psoriasis. In my family, we prefer to use fermented cod liver oil. The traditional lacto-fermentation process is highly beneficial and keeps a large variety and percentage of vitamins intact. We prefer to use Green Pasture's Blue Ice Fermented Cod Liver Oil - 120 CapsulesVitamins & Supplements) for our fish oil needs. 4
  • Oregon Grape Root is one of the lessor known, yet still effective home remedies for psoriasis. The chemical components of oregon grape root fight skin lesions and infections.4
