A Canker Sore Home Remedy is No Further than This Page. Find your Relief and Healing Here!

Don't confuse a canker sore home remedy with a home remedy for cold sores. Many people are confused on the differences between canker sores and cold sores. Canker sores are found inside the mouth and on the lips, tongue or throat. They look like a small white ulcer or crater, with red on the outside. Canker sores are not contagious and have a variety of causes. Cold sores on the other hand are generally found on the outside of the lips and mouth and are caused by the herpes virus, so they are contagious.

Not everyone gets canker sores, but those who do tend to get them most when they eat certain foods, burn their mouth or experience stress. I personally tend to get canker sores when I eat too many fresh tomatoes (the acidity is a factor)...however that doesn't stop me from enjoying those delicious juicy, red vegetables. One bit of good news, is that canker sore incidence tends to decrease with age.4

Note: See your doctor if your canker sore persists for longer than 2 weeks or consistently interferes with eating, drinking or sleeping.
